St. Louis is blessed with many beautiful places of worship and education, which originate from the City’s founding in 1764 on the banks of the Mississippi River and continue to this day. John C. Guenther, FAIA, LEED AP, will present the Basilica of St. Louis, King of France –The Old Cathedral                                                                                                                                                         (1831-1834), the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Louis (1907-1914), the Chapel of Saint Vincent de Paul (1916),  St. Mark’s Episcopal (1939), B’nai Amoona Synagogue (1945-1950), Resurrection of Our Lord (1954),  First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood (1857, 1888, 1956-1957, 2003-2007), Priory Chapel St. Louis Abbey (1962), the Ethical Society (1964), and CBC High School (1850-1882, 1882-1916, 1922-2003, 2003).
