Description

Step away from the busyness of everyday life and experience Forest Park at a slower pace. We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the history of Shinrin-Yoku (Forest Bathing) and the growing body of research on how spending time in nature supports our physical and emotional well-being. Then, through a series of gentle sensory invitations, you’ll explore the landscapes surrounding the Jewel Box and Forest Park’s Successional Forest, discovering a simple practice for slowing down, reducing stress, and reconnecting with the natural world.

No prior experience is needed. This is a leisurely, guided walk designed for a wide range of fitness levels, with frequent opportunities to pause and rest. Please note that portions of the route include grassy areas and gravel paths.
