Description
Confused by advice about “engaging your core,” doing planks, or strengthening your abs? Do you really need six-pack muscles to protect your back and maintain good balance? Join physical therapist and retired Associate Professor from the Washington University Program in Physical Therapy, Suzy Cornbleet, PT, DPT, for an evidence-based look at how the abdominal muscles actually work. Learn which muscles matter most for everyday movement, balance, and function—and leave with practical strategies to help you train smarter, not harder.
An optional 30-minute hands-on lab will follow the presentation. During this time, Suzy will guide participants through the techniques discussed in class and provide individualized tips and feedback as time allows. Participants are encouraged to take part in this interactive session, but please note that if attendance is high, individual time with Suzy may be limited.
