Description
This class will examine how Abraham Lincoln evolved socially, politically, and ethically from his youth in New Salem through his Presidency. Events and influences that shaped this complex man will be examined and reflected upon. Perhaps no political leader in American history grew more and displayed more strength than Lincoln as he steered the nation through the tumultuous years of the Civil War. How he became the Lincoln that could do this is the subject of our study.
