Description

On October 19, 1781 the British General Lord Cornwallis surrendered his entire army to General Washington at Yorktown, Virginia.  In what is considered the last major battle of the American Revolution, Washington appreciated the strategy forced upon him by the French General Rochambeau.  The combined French and American armies pulled off an amazing plan that led to a much-needed victory and the independence to the American colonies from the British.
