What if age does not matter? How have some films depicted older adults who thrive after age 60? What about aging actors? To name a few: Angela Bassett, Judi Dench, Harrison Ford, Robert DeNiro, Ian McKellan, Maggie Smith, Patrick Stewart, and Meryl Streep. We will explore themes of personal growth, rediscovery, and resilience. We will show clips of stories that feature older characters who, for various reasons, decide to embark on new adventures, pursue unfulfilled dreams, or seek a fresh start in their later years. These films will serve as a reminder that it’s never too late to chase dreams or find happiness in unexpected places.
