And it’s not necessarily just through online dating sites, or a romantic relationship at all. “Relationships” can begin through a fraudulent email, text message, phone call and/or social media engagement. This class discusses tactics used by cybercriminals to strike up online conversations that lead to a “relationship” with you for the sole purpose of draining your bank account. We will explore the use of social engineering and precautions you can take to protect yourself from internet-based scams.
