Description

Washington University OT Students and Oasis Walking Leader Donna Graef present five free hiking sessions.

Hello OASIS members!

We are students from Washington University in St. Louis’s Occupational Therapy Program. We are excited to have teamed up with OASIS St. Louis to create a new walking program that will be implemented this spring! In this program, we will be utilizing the many green spaces around St. Louis and focusing on physical activity and its relationship to physical, mental, and social health and well-being. We will ask that each participant fills out a short questionnaire each week at the beginning of the walks, participate in the walks (approximately 1 hour in length), and then reflect on the experience through a prompted journal entry.

Participants are required to abide by current CDC regulations regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.

The program will occur 9:30-11am every Monday beginning 3/22/21, with the last walk being on 4/19/21. It is recommended to arrive 5 minutes in advance as the program will begin promptly at 9:30am. See below for each week’s date, location, parking, and length of walk.
