Parking: The building does not have a parking lot. Parking at a meter is not recommended because you will be away from your car for over 2 hours and the meters have a limit. Most parking meters require a smart phone with an app. If you have the app, you can usually add time from your phone during the program. It may be easier to park in a nearby garage. The garage closest to the courthouse entrance is Stadium West Garage, between 8th and 9th Streets. Map to 215 South 8th Street. Public Transportation: The nearest MetroLink stop is Stadium, and it is a 2-block walk to the courthouse. Security: Everyone will need to go through building security to enter. Legal photo ID is required. Weapons, mace, pepper spray, sharp metal objects, and cameras are all prohibited. No pocket knives, knitting needles, scissors, nail trimmers, etc. No cameras. Mobile devices are fine Metal joint replacements, etc. are fine. People with pacemakers should alert the security guard BEFORE going through the metal detector. The courthouse has relaxed masking policies as of today’s date, however judges and other individuals are allowed to maintain masking and social distancing requirements at their discretion. We ask that everyone have a mask and be prepared to wear it properly. Timing: Please allow extra time to find a parking spot, walk to the entrance, and go through security.
