Description

Hear the stories of women who changed their community and did extraordinary things throughout St. Louis history—and see the places where they made their mark on this two-hour city bus tour. We’ll travel from South City, to North City, and see a little bit in between, exploring sites from the first public kindergarten in the nation to the place where women organized a strike against a nut factory. Wear comfortable shoes (very light walking at two optional opportunities to exit the bus), pack a sense of humor, and bring along your own story about a Great Gateway Gal to share as you wish! Participants will meet at a local business on Cherokee Street in the City to hop on a chartered bus. Details will follow upon registration.
