This course offers an introduction to our Milky Way Galaxy, providing a comprehensive overview of its structure, components, and significance in the universe. Participants will explore the evidence for other galaxies through the study of Cepheid Variables, enhancing their understanding of cosmic distances and the vastness of the universe. The course will include visual presentations of various types of galaxies, globular clusters, and open clusters, allowing students to appreciate the diversity and complexity of astronomical phenomena.
