Description

Often overlooked, Loyalists—also known as Tories or King’s Men—were American colonists who remained faithful to the British Crown during the Revolution. Viewing loyalty to the Empire as a path to stability and prosperity, they found themselves on the losing side of what was truly America’s first civil war. Facing persecution, violence, and exile, many Loyalists fled to British territories like Canada or returned to Britain. This session explores their perspectives, struggles, and lasting legacy.
