Over 10,000 years ago, Paleo Indians settled near the Mississippi River in southern Missouri and Illinois. They and every group that came later found a land rich in the resources. From the right kind of rock for stone tools and clay for pots to the perfect trees for log cabins. We’ll explore the role that ancient oceans, glaciers, forests, and prairies played in providing these resources.
